This Privacy Policy applies to TI Chat on the web and to the TI Chat Android application. The current Google Play release is intended for adults age 18 or older. TI Chat is a community and support platform for people who may be experiencing harassment, intimidation, coordinated mistreatment, or who feel targeted by a group. Users decide what personal experiences and information they choose to share.
TI Chat collects and uses information needed to operate, secure, moderate, and improve the service and to provide the features users choose to use.
Information we may collect
• Account and profile information such as usernames, email addresses when provided, profile images, status messages, registration dates, account settings, and account identifiers.
• User-generated content you choose to submit, including public messages, private messages, forum posts, group activity, reports, profile information, and other community content.
• Photos, videos, audio, documents, and other files that you intentionally select, upload, send, or share through TI Chat.
• Voice Conference information. When you choose to enable the microphone or join a voice feature, live audio is captured and transmitted as needed to provide that feature. TI Chat does not activate microphone access simply because the app or website is open.
• Conference recordings created with TI Chat's recording control. The recording feature is user-initiated, displays a recording indicator to participants, and saves the resulting audio file locally to the device running the recording feature unless another feature explicitly states otherwise.
• Push-notification information, such as a browser/app push endpoint, notification keys, notification preferences, and related account or device association needed to deliver notifications and conference reminders when you enable them.
• Technical and security information such as IP address, browser or device information, session information, login activity, timestamps, and diagnostic information needed for security and reliability.
• Moderation and safety information such as reports, warnings, blocks, bans, restrictions, child-safety reports, and related administrative notes.
• Dating Arena information when that optional feature is used, including dating profile details, optional sexual orientation, who a user is interested in, whether sexual orientation is displayed publicly, photos, votes, crush selections, matches, and related notifications.
Sensitive personal experiences
TI Chat may be used to discuss experiences involving harassment, intimidation, safety concerns, coordinated mistreatment, abuse, injury, tragedy, or feeling targeted by others. TI Chat does not require users to publicly disclose sensitive personal experiences. Users control what they choose to share, subject to information required to operate an account or a feature they voluntarily use.
How information is used
We may use information to provide chat, voice, conference, upload, notification, account, community, moderation, safety, and support features; deliver messages and reminders; maintain accounts and sessions; prevent abuse and fraud; investigate reports; enforce rules; protect users and the service; troubleshoot technical problems; and improve functionality and reliability.
Public and private content
Public chat messages, public profiles, group or forum activity, and other content designated as public can be visible to other users. Private messages are intended for the participants, but authorized administrators may have access when technically necessary for moderation, abuse investigation, security, service operation, or legal compliance. Users should not treat any online communication system as appropriate for information that must remain absolutely confidential.
Photos, videos, audio, microphone, and files
TI Chat requests access to photos, videos, files, or the microphone only when needed for a feature the user chooses to use, such as selecting an attachment or joining a Voice Conference. Selecting a file or granting a permission does not make unrelated content on the device public. Android system permissions can be changed through the device's settings.
Notifications
If you enable notifications, TI Chat stores the technical push-subscription information needed to send alerts such as messages, mentions, or conference reminders. Notification permission can be disabled from TI Chat, the browser, or Android settings, depending on how TI Chat is being used.
Cookies, sessions, and local storage
TI Chat may use cookies, sessions, browser storage, service workers, or similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember settings, maintain security, provide offline or installed-web-app functions, and support the Android web-app experience.
Android application
The TI Chat Android app connects to the TI Chat service at tichat.arenacity.online. The Android app uses the same TI Chat accounts, content, and server-side services as the website. Information handled through the Android app is covered by this Privacy Policy.
Dating Arena
Dating Arena is for adults age 18 or older. Dating profile details, optional sexual orientation, who a user is interested in, the user's choice about whether sexual orientation is shown publicly, photos, votes, crush selections, matches, and related notifications may be stored to provide the feature. Sexual orientation is optional, can be kept private on the Dating profile, and can be changed or deleted by the user. Dating profiles are separate from the general Registered Users directory.
Data sharing
TI Chat does not sell user data to advertisers. Information may be disclosed when required by law, when reasonably necessary to protect rights or safety, to investigate abuse or security incidents, or to service providers that are necessary to host, secure, communicate, or operate the service. Service providers are permitted to process information only as necessary for the services they provide, subject to their applicable terms and privacy obligations.
Account and data deletion
Registered users can delete their entire account from Account Settings or use the public deletion and privacy-request page at https://tichat.arenacity.online/delete-account.php. A signed-in user can confirm full account deletion directly. A user who cannot sign in can submit a full account deletion request from that same public page for administrator verification.
Users may also request deletion of specific categories of data without deleting their TI Chat account. The public page allows requests for profile/optional account information, public community content, private messages, uploaded media/files, Dating Arena data, forum/group contributions, voice/conference server-side data, push/notification data, or other identified information. TI Chat may contact the requester when clarification or identity verification is needed.
When an account is deleted, TI Chat removes the registered account, profile information, Dating Arena profile and interactions, private messages associated with the account, push subscriptions tied to the account, and other account-linked community data that can reasonably be identified. TI Chat also removes or redacts account-linked public chat/profile/community records where supported. For specific-data requests, TI Chat removes the requested data that can reasonably be identified while keeping the account active unless full deletion is separately requested. Limited security, moderation, child-safety, fraud-prevention, backup, or legal records may be retained only when reasonably necessary or required by law, with access limited to appropriate administrators. Backups may take a limited period to cycle out or be redacted.
Data retention
Information may be retained for as long as reasonably needed for operation, security, moderation, dispute handling, legal obligations, backups, abuse prevention, or account administration. Some information may be removed sooner when no longer needed.
Your choices
You may choose what optional profile information and user-generated content you provide, choose whether your optional sexual orientation is displayed on your Dating profile, choose whether to enable notifications or microphone access, change applicable Android/browser permissions, block other members, report concerns, delete or request deletion of your account and associated data, or request deletion of specific data while keeping your account active.
Security
TI Chat uses HTTPS for the live service and reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information. No online service or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.
Age eligibility
The current TI Chat release is intended for users age 18 or older. Users are required to confirm that they are at least 18 before entering the community. Dating Arena is also strictly limited to adults age 18 or older. TI Chat may introduce a separately protected teen experience in a future release, but the current release is not intended for minors.
Child safety
TI Chat prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, sexual solicitation involving minors, trafficking, and any sexualization of minors. Users can report child-safety concerns through in-app reporting or at https://tichat.arenacity.online/report-child-safety.php. Published Child Safety Standards are available at https://tichat.arenacity.online/child-safety.php.
Google Play
The Android application may be distributed through Google Play. Google may independently process information related to app installation, updates, Play Protect, diagnostics, or other Google Play services under Google's own terms and privacy policies. TI Chat does not control Google's independent processing.
